A wine tour at your own pace
The Bordeaux vineyards are big. The châteaux worth visiting are often a few kilometres apart, the lanes between them are narrow, and after the second tasting nobody should be driving. Group tours solve part of the problem, but you follow their schedule and their choice of estates.
With a private driver, the day is yours. You pick the châteaux, you decide how long you stay at lunch, and the car is waiting outside when the visit ends.
How it works
- You book your château visits directly with the estates. Most of them receive visitors by appointment only.
- You send us the times, and we plan the route and the departure time around them.
- We pick you up at your hotel in Bordeaux, at Saint-Jean station or at the airport.
- The driver waits during each visit and lunch, then drives you back at the end of the day.
Half day or full day
Wine tours are booked by the hour, with a three-hour minimum. A half day covers four hours, which is enough for two visits close to each other, for example in Pessac-Léognan or around Saint-Émilion. A full day covers eight hours and suits the Médoc, or a mix of Saint-Émilion and Pomerol with a proper lunch.
Half-day and full-day prices are confirmed on request. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and it is confirmed before you book.
Where we go
Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. The right bank, about 45 minutes from Mérignac. A medieval village, limestone cellars and small family estates next to some of the most famous names in wine. See also our Bordeaux Airport to Saint-Émilion transfer.
The Médoc. North of Bordeaux, along the Gironde estuary: Margaux, Saint-Julien, Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe. Count on a full day, as Pauillac is about an hour away.
Pessac-Léognan. The closest vineyard to the city and the airport, ideal for a short half day or a visit before an evening flight.
Vehicles
A sedan for up to four people, or an 8-seat van for families and groups. There is room in the boot for the bottles you buy along the way. Baby seats and booster seats are available on request.

Yes. The sedan takes three suitcases and three cabin bags, the van up to seven of each. If you plan to buy several cases of wine, the van is the safer choice.

Yes, we can pick you up at arrivals and start the tour from there. We track your flight and adjust the pick-up time to the real landing time.
